Sony Music describes it as a work recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra that moves between intimate moments and operatic scale, organized into four movements in the company’s listed track sequence.
What is LUX about?
Sony Music frames LUX around feminine mystique, transformation, and transcendence. The album’s spiritual themes are part of its artistic approach, but they do not establish Rosalía’s affiliation with any particular religion.

In a release-day interview with EL PAÍS, Rosalía described her interest in “la idea de la posreligión, una forma más abierta de entender la fe” (“the idea of post-religion, a more open way of understanding faith,” translated here). The Associated Press similarly presented the album as a spiritual search, quoting Bishop Xabier Gómez García: “Here was a spiritual search through the testimonies of women of immense spiritual maturity.” That is his interpretation of the work, rather than a definitive statement about the artist’s beliefs.
How does the album sound?
The London Symphony Orchestra’s involvement gives the album an orchestral dimension, but it is not simply described by the available sources as a classical record. Sony’s account emphasizes a range from intimacy to operatic scale, while Rosalía’s collaborators include artists and vocal groups from varied musical backgrounds. The result is best approached as a project that draws on orchestral and vocal textures rather than as a straightforward genre switch.

The album features Björk, Carminho, Estrella Morente, Silvia Pérez Cruz, Yahritza, Yves Tumor, and the Escolania de Montserrat i Cor Cambra Palau de la Música Catalana, according to Sony Music’s announcement. Daníel Bjarnason conducted the London Symphony Orchestra, and Sony identifies Rosalía as the album’s executive producer.
How many tracks and languages are there?
Counts vary by source and may reflect differences in editions or counting conventions. Sony Music lists 18 tracks for the album sequence and divides it into four movements. The Associated Press described the album as fifteen songs in thirteen languages; an October 2026 EL PAÍS retrospective also reported thirteen languages. Those accounts do not explain how their song counts relate to Sony’s physical-edition track list, so the figures should be attributed rather than treated as a single universal count.
Which tracks are exclusive to physical editions?
Sony Music marks three tracks as exclusive to the physical CD and vinyl editions:
- “Focu ‘ranni”
- “Jeanne”
- “Novia Robot”
If choosing between digital and physical formats, check whether those tracks are included in the specific edition you plan to hear or buy. Sony’s announcement identifies them as physical-edition exclusives.
What is on the vinyl edition?
The Sony Music Store Italy listing describes an LP edition with two 12-inch crystal-clear vinyl records, a gatefold jacket, and a poster. The product listing is regional and can change, so its availability, displayed price, and shipping terms should not be assumed to apply elsewhere or remain current.
