Those allegations were not independently confirmed in the contemporaneous reports, and the company’s assurance does not establish the condition of any particular package. A separate report said the FDA had received more than 10 complaints about Lunchly by October 24, 2024, including one citing a potentially related illness; that complaint count was not a finding of contamination or causation.
What customers alleged
On October 22, 2024, Fortune reported that customers, including YouTuber Rosanna Pansino, claimed to have found mold in cheese in Lunchly pizza kits. Dexerto also covered Pansino’s allegation and the company’s response.
The reports cited here do not provide independent test results confirming mold in the products or resolving the condition of any specific kit. The claims should therefore be understood as allegations, not an independently verified finding.
How Lunchly responded
A spokesperson representing Lunchly, Logan Paul, and Prime told Fortune that the products undergo a strict review process. The spokesperson said: “That process consists of multiple inspections and approvals, including that of the USDA, before any product can even leave the manufacturing facility.”

Dexerto described the company’s response as saying its products go through a stringent review process in compliance with USDA requirements. These are company characterizations; the reports do not establish that the USDA inspected every finished kit or approved the specific product behind an allegation.
What the FDA complaint count means
Inc. reported on October 25, 2024 that an FDA spokesperson said the agency was evaluating incoming complaints and adverse reports related to Lunchly. As of October 24, more than 10 complaints had been reported to the FDA, including one complaint citing an illness potentially linked to Lunchly products.

Logan Paul denied recall rumors in a video, as Dexerto reported on October 29, 2024. That denial does not itself establish the current regulatory status of Lunchly.

The FDA explains that its recalls, market withdrawals, and safety alerts page covers certain posted notices, that not all recalls are posted, and that older records are archived. Consequently, the presence or absence of a notice on that page alone cannot establish the full regulatory history. The reports cited here do not establish Lunchly’s current FDA status.
