Why the debut was modest
The report said many radio stations were not playing the song, attributing that account to El Universal. It did not name the stations or give an airplay count, chart position, or sales figure, so the scale of the song’s reception cannot be quantified from the article.
What the report does not establish
The 2008 article said Sergio was looking for a record label, but it does not say whether he signed with one. It also does not establish whether “Car Crash” later received a commercial release, remains available to listen to or buy, or was followed by other music. The story is a snapshot of a reported radio debut, not evidence of Sergio’s later career.
