Reports described limited head and facial movement, app-based chat and messaging, conversational memory, generated selfies, and Bluetooth coordination with Lovense toys. But the live CES interaction was not a full demonstration, and Lovense’s later update about a second prototype at IFA Berlin did not confirm a retail launch, final specifications, or a shipping date.
What Lovense showed at CES 2026
Lovense presented Emily as a life-size AI companion doll. A Lovense employee described her as a prototype, and CES coverage likewise reported that the product was still in development. Lovense characterized its intended AI as having “human-like cognition, emotional awareness and expressive behavior”; those are company claims, not independently established capabilities.

Engadget described a poseable skeleton, mechanisms in the head for slight mouth movement and basic facial expressions, and built-in Bluetooth. It also reported that Emily was designed to remember previous conversations and adapt over time, with messaging through the Lovense app and AI-generated selfies intended to resemble her. These were descriptions of the planned product, not results from independent performance testing. Engadget’s CES report
What Emily could reportedly do—and what the demo established
Limited movement, not a walking robot
ITmedia’s February 2026 report described head movement, lips that moved while speaking, and simple expressions such as smiling, winking, and blinking. It reported that Emily could not walk. The described motion was confined to the head and face, rather than full-body mobility. ITmedia’s CES prototype report

Conversation, memory, and app features were not fully verified live
ITmedia said the AI model had not been finalized. Because the booth’s Wi-Fi was unstable, the reporter could not have a direct conversation with the prototype; staff remotely operated its introductory greeting. The report therefore documents what Lovense said the system was intended to do, but not a successful independent test of its conversational memory or responsiveness.
Bluetooth toy coordination was demonstrated as mediated control
ITmedia reported a Bluetooth pairing demonstration with Lovense toys, using the Solos Pro male masturbator as its example. In the scenario, a user could ask Emily to make the toy’s piston move faster. The report characterized this as remote control mediated through Emily, not as the doll independently deciding to operate a toy. It does not establish that a toy is included with Emily. What the CES-era price and schedule mean now
ITmedia reported CES-era plans of a US$4,000–8,000 projected price depending on customization, a US$200 reservation amount, and shipment planned for 2027. These were reported plans, not confirmation of a product currently available to buy.

In September 2026, Lovense said it had shown a second prototype of its “Intimate Doll” at IFA Berlin. The company described natural voice interaction, responsive physical movement, adaptation to individual preferences, and coordination with other Lovense products. That update confirms continued prototyping and another public exhibit; it did not reconfirm the CES-era price, reservation amount, or 2027 schedule. Lovense’s IFA announcement
When will Lovense Emily be available?
The sources establish no current retail availability, finalized specifications, or final AI model. The only specific timing reported was ITmedia’s CES-era plan for shipment in 2027, which Lovense’s September 2026 IFA statement did not confirm. Treat Emily as an evolving prototype, not a confirmed shipping retail product.
What claims about companionship are supported?
Lovense has positioned Emily around conversation, adaptation, and emotional awareness. The available reports do not establish that the doll reduces loneliness, improves social confidence, or produces other clinical or social outcomes. Those benefits should not be treated as proven effects.
