Cierra Ortega departed at the start of the episode; later, Amaya Espinal chose Bryan Arenales at the recoupling, leaving Elan Bibas and Zak Srakaew dumped.
Who left Love Island USA in Episode 30?
| Islander | What happened |
|---|---|
| Cierra Ortega | She left at the beginning of the episode. Narrator Iain Stirling announced that she had departed “due to a personal situation.” |
| Elan Bibas | Amaya chose Bryan at the recoupling, leaving Elan unchosen and dumped from the villa. |
| Zak Srakaew | Amaya’s choice also left Zak unchosen and dumped from the villa. |
The distinction matters: Cierra’s departure was announced separately, while Elan and Zak were eliminated after the recoupling. Peacock’s Season 7 listing describes Episode 30 as the installment in which an Islander becomes unexpectedly single before Ariana Madix returns to host a recoupling.

How the episode’s exits unfolded
Cierra’s departure left Nic single
At the start of the episode, the show announced Cierra’s departure as being “due to a personal situation.” Her exit left Nic Vansteenberghe single. He later recoupled with Olandria Carthen. Nic described his reaction this way: “Before Cierra had left, my mind was clear. I knew what the future would look like, and now, I’m lost.” The Associated Press reported both the announcement and his comments in its July 8, 2025 coverage. Read the AP report.
Amaya chose Bryan at the recoupling
Later, Amaya Espinal resolved her triangle with Bryan Arenales, Elan Bibas, and Zak Srakaew by choosing Bryan. Elan and Zak were the two Islanders left without a partner and sent home. Parade’s July 7 recap reported the result, which TV Insider’s elimination guide also cross-checked. Parade’s Episode 30 recap and TV Insider’s elimination guide.

What was confirmed about Cierra’s exit?
The show’s stated wording was “due to a personal situation.” The AP reported that old posts containing an anti-Asian racial slur had resurfaced and that a show spokesperson declined to comment. That reporting provides context, but it does not establish that the posts were the confirmed reason for Cierra’s departure or its timing. The Associated Press report keeps the announcement and the surrounding controversy distinct.
