What happens in Love Is Blind season 8, episode 8?
Episode 8 moves the couples from the Honduras vacation into the next phase of the experiment: a shared apartment base in Minneapolis. The change puts their relationships in a more ordinary setting, while meetings with relatives and friends bring outside reactions into the story. The episode’s edited narrative moves between unresolved concerns, group conversations and family introductions rather than presenting one single relationship as the focus.
Taylor checks her concern about Daniel
Taylor had been worried that Daniel might have followed and unfollowed her on social media before they got engaged, which could have given him information about her appearance. Daniel said he did not remember doing that and had not known what she looked like. Taylor checks a follower-tracking app shown in the episode and finds no indication that he followed her. She accepts that result, and the couple goes to Honduras.
The check addresses the specific question of whether the app showed a follow. It does not establish whether Daniel could have learned anything about Taylor another way.

The couples meet face-to-face
At the resort, the five engaged couples meet one another in person for the first time. Their conversations highlight the adjustment from getting to know someone by voice in the pods to navigating that connection face-to-face. Physical intimacy becomes a topic at the gathering. Dave asks several people whether they have been intimate with their partners, and the repeated questions make the conversation uncomfortable for some of the group.
Lauren and Dave revisit her past
Dave is uneasy that Lauren had been seeing someone he and his family know shortly before filming. Lauren describes the connection as a casual friends-with-benefits situation, not a serious relationship. Her friends reassure Dave, but the issue returns as his own friends are due to meet Lauren. They end the evening at odds over how much her past connection should matter.

Do Lauren and Dave make it through the Minneapolis move?
They make the move with the other four engaged couples, but episode 8 does not resolve the disagreement between them. The tension centers on different views of Lauren’s earlier connection: she characterizes it as casual, while Dave remains concerned because the person was in his social circle. The episode leaves that conflict open rather than establishing what it means for their future.
What changes when the couples reach Minneapolis?
About halfway through the episode, all five couples leave the vacation setting and move into a neutral-ground apartment in Minneapolis. Domestic scenes replace some of the resort atmosphere, and the couples begin talking about how to tell family and friends about their engagements. Those conversations test how private commitments land with people outside the experiment.

Family introductions bring different reactions
- Joey joins Monica’s family for a lively musical gathering. Monica’s sister Nicole is skeptical of the experiment.
- Daniel meets Taylor’s family, and Taylor and Daniel’s families meet one another.
- Virginia meets Devin’s family.
The introductions show that family responses are not uniform: some moments are celebratory, while Nicole’s skepticism signals a more cautious view of the process.
Why is Sara questioning Ben?
With access to social media again, Sara sees a video of a woman crying about a cast member. Ben acknowledges that the video is about him. He says he and the woman met years earlier and did not hook up. Sara is left weighing his account against what she has seen; the video raises questions, but it does not independently establish what happened between them.

That uncertainty is the episode’s closing hook. While Taylor’s check gives her enough reassurance to move on from her particular concern, Sara has a fresh trust question and no resolution by the end of the episode.
