As of Netflix’s September 5, 2025 update, the people featured in Love Con Revenge had different legal outcomes: one had been found guilty, one had pleaded guilty, one had been arrested on an indictment and denied the allegations, and others had not been criminally convicted. The latest reported status for each case is below; the sources cited do not establish later outcomes for pending matters.
Where each case stood in Netflix’s September 2025 update

These statuses are not interchangeable. A guilty verdict and a guilty plea are criminal case outcomes; an indictment is an accusation, not a finding of guilt. Allegations that a person denies, and the fact that someone had not been charged at the time of an update, should not be described as convictions. What the series follows
Love Con Revenge follows Cecilie Fjellhøy, a former victim of the “Tinder Swindler,” and private investigator Brianne Joseph as they support victims and expose alleged digital predators. Netflix’s official series page lists the show for streaming; availability can vary by country and date.
Warning signs the investigators discuss
In TIME’s September 5, 2025 report, Joseph and Fjellhøy advise watching for urgent requests for money—including requests that start small and grow—as well as intense courtship or controlling behavior. Joseph’s advice to people dating is to be “hopeful, but cautious.” These are warning signs to consider, not a diagnostic test: no single behavior proves that someone is committing fraud.
