Lola Young withdrew from the D.C.-area date of All Things Go on Sunday, September 28, 2025. The festival was held at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland. Her cancellation message did not give a specific reason or diagnosis. It came the day after she performed at the festival’s New York stop and collapsed onstage.
What happened at All Things Go?
On September 28, Young posted that she would not perform at the festival’s D.C. date. ABC News reproduced her message: “I’m sorry to confirm that I won’t be playing all things go in DC today,” she wrote. She added: “I love this job and I never take my commitments and audience for granted so I’m sorry to those who will be disappointed by this. I hope you’ll all give me another chance in the future.” (ABC News, September 28, 2025)
Although the event was commonly described as the Washington, D.C., festival date, its venue, Merriweather Post Pavilion, is in Columbia, Maryland. “D.C.” identifies the festival stop’s market, not the venue’s municipality. (Pollstar, September 29, 2025)
Why did Lola Young cancel the D.C. performance?
Young’s September 28 message did not state a specific reason. The cancellation followed her September 27 performance at All Things Go’s New York stop in Queens, where she collapsed onstage, as reported by ABC News and Pollstar. That sequence is established, but it does not establish the cause of her D.C. cancellation or a medical diagnosis. (ABC News; Pollstar)

How the cancellation fit into the wider timeline
- September 26, 2025: Young’s manager, Nick Shymansky, announced she could not perform at Audacy’s We Can Survive concert, citing a “sensitive matter,” Pollstar reported.
- September 27: Young performed at All Things Go’s New York stop in Queens and collapsed during the set, according to ABC News and Pollstar.
- September 28: Young said she was doing okay, then announced she would not play the D.C.-area festival date.
- September 30: Young announced she was canceling all upcoming events “for the foreseeable future.” The Los Angeles Times reported that she said ticket buyers would be entitled to refunds. This later announcement was broader than the All Things Go cancellation. (Los Angeles Times, September 30, 2025)
What is known about refunds and a future D.C. show?
The Los Angeles Times reported Young’s September 30 statement that ticket buyers would be entitled to refunds. That statement does not specify the All Things Go organizer’s event-specific refund process or terms, so attendees should rely on communications from the festival or their ticket seller for those details.
As of October 8, 2026, Young’s official website listed future dates in 2027, including a Washington, D.C., performance on April 9. An artist-site listing is subject to change; it does not by itself confirm that the event will proceed or that tickets are available. Check the official Lola Young website for the current listing and verify ticket status, venue, and terms separately.
