Lionel Richie and Earth, Wind & Fire announced a 26-city North American tour planned for June 24 through August 14, 2026. That original summer run has passed. As of October 8, three later-listed performances—San Francisco, Chicago and Columbus—are marked postponed by their venues; the venues say replacement-date information will follow and tickets will be honored at the rescheduled shows.
What was announced—and what is the tour’s status now?
Live Nation announced the joint tour on January 26, 2026, describing a 26-city production opening at Grand Casino Arena in Saint Paul on June 24 and scheduled to close at Moody Center in Austin on August 14. The original itinerary included U.S. and Canadian stops. Those dates describe the announcement’s plan, not a current schedule of upcoming concerts. Live Nation’s announcement
As of October 8, venue pages identify the later San Francisco, Chicago and Columbus performances as postponed. The notices say new-date information will follow and tickets will be honored at the rescheduled date. They do not establish that the shows are permanently canceled. Chase Center, United Center, Schottenstein Center

| Venue | City | Event date shown | Venue notice |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chase Center | San Francisco, California | September 26, 2026 | Postponed; new-date information to follow; tickets honored at the rescheduled date. Venue notice |

On October 8, Lionel Richie’s official tour page did not list replacement dates for these joint-tour events. Its separate later-2026 “King of Hearts” Las Vegas residency listings do not confirm that a postponed joint-tour concert has been rescheduled. Check the relevant venue’s event page for updates. Why were the performances postponed?
The Associated Press reported on September 23 that a representative for Richie said he had undergone a procedure for atrial fibrillation (AFib), that his doctor said it went perfectly, and that he would take time off before returning to the stage. This is the representative’s explanation as reported by AP, not an independent medical assessment. Associated Press report
What should ticket holders do?
The three venue notices say tickets will be honored at the rescheduled date. Because those pages had not announced replacement dates as of October 8, ticket holders should monitor the event page and ticket provider for the venue-specific update and instructions. The available notices do not establish a refund deadline or other refund terms.
