No project after the series has been confirmed in the official sources reviewed. Meanwhile, the show’s wardrobe has shifted with Emily’s travels—but that is a change in the character’s style, not evidence of a personal makeover for Collins.
What is Lily Collins doing after Emily in Paris?
Her confirmed upcoming screen appearance is season 6 of Emily in Paris. Netflix says Collins returns as Emily Cooper for the closing season, which has completed filming and is due to premiere on December 24, 2026. Netflix’s announcement describes the new season as the final chapter; Collins called it “everything you love about the show” and “the final chapter in Emily’s adventure of a lifetime.” Netflix Media Center also identifies Collins among the returning cast.
The official Netflix pages reviewed do not confirm a film, series, or stage role for Collins after Emily in Paris. That means her next role is not established by those announcements—not that she has no future projects. A fan-site reference to a possible West End debut is not enough to present it as confirmed.
Why is Emily in Paris ending?
Netflix has identified season 6 as the show’s final season. Its setup leaves Emily facing conflicts at work and in her relationships, and a choice among her career, her heart, and the life she has made in Paris. Netflix also says production travels through Greece, Monaco, and Paris. Those details establish the season’s broad premise, not the exact ending.

Where season 5 left Emily
In season 5, Emily went to Rome for work and a relationship with Marcello Muratori. She helped open an Agence Grateau office there, but ultimately chose to keep her career in Paris rather than move to Marcello’s village and join his family business. The season ends with the two apart. Mindy accepts Nicolas’s proposal, while Alfie expresses doubts. Netflix’s season 5 recap covers those turns.
How has Emily’s style changed?
The clearest documented shift is in Emily’s on-screen wardrobe as the character moves between settings. Creator Darren Star described her Rome look as becoming “more relaxed” and more sophisticated: “she’s loosening up a little, and her style’s evolving and getting more sophisticated.” Collins, speaking about filming season 5, said: “It was incredible to film in both Rome and Venice.” She also noted that the season’s fashion reflects movement between two countries. These comments describe Emily and the show’s costumes; they do not establish a personal style transformation for Collins. Netflix’s feature on season 5 gives that context.

What makes the show’s wardrobe distinctive?
The costume team’s approach is intentionally eclectic rather than built around one kind of label or a strict idea of good taste. Costume designer Marylin Fitoussi describes combining couture, young designers, vintage, and accessible high-street pieces. “Too much good taste is boring,” she says. Fitoussi has also described her interest in reusing materials: “For the past seven years, I’ve been pushing upcycling and recycling.” Consulting costume designer Patricia Field summed up the desired effect as “happy clothes.” Netflix’s interview with Fitoussi and Field explains the thinking behind the costumes.
That mix helps distinguish the show’s visual vocabulary from a simple makeover narrative. The costumes can lean into bold color and pattern while also changing with Emily’s surroundings; the Rome-era look is described by Star as more sophisticated and relaxed. The sources explain the design approach, but do not identify specific screen-worn outfits as products viewers can buy.
