The headline phrase comes from two separate Dandadan stories—not one “blockbuster premiere” incident. In a September 2024 Osaka advance-screening report, MANTANWEB said voice actor Mayumi Tanaka delivered a famous Turbo Granny line during the cast’s opening remarks. An August 2025 interview separately quoted Tanaka recounting the crude line she used as an example at Turbo Granny’s audition.
What happened at the 2024 Dandadan screening?
At an Osaka advance screening before the anime’s television broadcast, Tanaka performed a well-known Turbo Granny line during the cast’s opening remarks, according to MANTANWEB’s September 25, 2024 event report. The English page renders the line as “Let me suck your penis.” MANTANWEB says its English text is machine translated, so that wording should be treated as the publication’s translation, not a verified transcript.

The report describes a playful exchange involving Tanaka, Natsuki Hanae, Shion Wakayama and Kazuya Nakai. The other cast members and audience laughed. Tanaka voices Turbo Granny; Hanae voices Okarun, Wakayama voices Momo, and Nakai voices the Serpo Alien.
Why did the audition story get connected to the screening?
In an interview published August 11, 2025, Tanaka described how she approached Turbo Granny’s vulgar dialogue at her audition. MANTANWEB’s English rendering quotes her saying: “I didn’t talk much during the audition either, just said, ‘Let me suck your dick,’ that’s the kind of line I used.” That is an audition anecdote, not a report of something she said at the 2024 screening.

The interview, which also features Hanae discussing the anime and its performances, is available from MANTANWEB. Its English page also discloses machine translation. The two reports therefore support related but distinct moments: an onstage line at the 2024 Osaka screening, and Tanaka’s 2025 recollection of her audition example.

Dandadan is a television anime adapted from Yukinobu Tatsu’s manga, which MANTANWEB identifies as serialized on Shonen Jump+. The 2024 event report said the manga had sold more than 3.2 million copies and that Shonen Jump+ views had exceeded 440 million at the time. The report does not identify the original source of those figures, and they should not be read as current totals.
Rank #2
The screening report’s announcement that the anime would begin airing on MBS/TBS on October 3 was a 2024 schedule, not current broadcast information. The later interview described season two as then airing on the Super Animeism TURBO block; that status likewise reflects the interview’s August 2025 publication date.
