Lenny Hochstein and Katharina Mazepa announced their engagement in July 2023, but they are not confirmed to be engaged now. They called off that engagement in 2024, became engaged again later that year, and Mazepa said in June 2025 that she had ended the renewed engagement and returned the ring. The latest located report does not establish their status after that.
When did Lenny Hochstein propose to Katharina Mazepa?
The couple announced their engagement on July 29, 2023. The proposal took place at sunset on a cliff in Ibiza overlooking Es Vedrà. In a joint Instagram post, Mazepa described the setting as “on top of an ancient pirate cave” and wrote that Hochstein had asked to “steal me away forever.” The post included photos and video of the proposal, as well as a close-up of the ring. PEOPLE via Yahoo Entertainment reported the announcement on July 30, 2023.
What did Hochstein say about the proposal?
In an August 1, 2023 interview with Us Weekly, Hochstein said he planned a cliffside sunset outing and asked a close friend to film it. He said the proposal itself was not what made him anxious: he was afraid of heights, and standing near the edge of the cliff was the harder part. Us Weekly published his account of the proposal and his fear of heights.
Why were they engaged twice?
The first engagement ended in 2024
On September 4, 2024, Us Weekly reported that the couple had ended their engagement. Hochstein confirmed the split, saying, “We recently ended our engagement,” and that he had “decided to move forward with my life.” He also wished Mazepa well. Hochstein proposed again in December 2024
After they reconciled, Hochstein proposed again at home the previous weekend, in front of Mazepa’s friends, according to Us Weekly’s December 12, 2024 report. He said he was “beyond grateful for this second chance at love with the woman of my dreams.” The outlet reported that he used the same ring as in the first proposal. Are Lenny Hochstein and Katharina Mazepa still engaged?
The latest located update says no: a report published June 11, 2025, by Page Six and reproduced by Internewscast said Mazepa had ended the renewed engagement and returned the ring. Her reported statement said she had chosen to end the engagement and return it; the report said she initiated the return and that Hochstein declined to comment. The available reporting does not establish their relationship status after that update, so a later change cannot be confirmed here. Internewscast reproduced Page Six’s report.
