Lee Kernaghan’s Mandurah show was scheduled for Friday 17 October 2025 at Mandurah Performing Arts Centre in Western Australia. That date has passed; the announcement does not establish a separate Mandurah concert for 2026.
What was the Mandurah concert date and venue?
The show was part of Boys From The Bush – The Concert Tour. The tour itinerary listed Mandurah Performing Arts Centre, Mandurah, WA, for Friday 17 October 2025. In chronological order, the nearby Western Australian dates were Bunbury on 18 October and Albany on 19 October. The original announcement’s phrase “this October” referred to October 2025, not October 2026. Mandurah Times/PerthNow’s 2 April 2025 report and Kernaghan’s tour page identify the 2025 itinerary.
The available listings do not establish the Mandurah show’s start time, ticket price, seating details, ticket availability or whether it sold out. They also do not confirm a later Mandurah date, so the 2025 event should not be treated as a current ticket opportunity.
What was the show expected to feature?
The 2025 announcement described the tour as the final chapter or final run of Boys From The Bush – The Concert Tour. That was the tour’s description at the time, not a statement about all of Kernaghan’s future touring. His official biography framed the concert around three decades of hits, an all-star band and new material.

The Mandurah Times report named “The Outback Club,” “She’s My Ute” and “Boys from the Bush” among the songs expected, and said Kernaghan planned to perform duets with his wife, Robyn McKelvie. The tour announcement also identified Tori Darke, Matt Cornell and Robby Kernaghan among its guests. The sources spell Robyn McKelvie and Robby Kernaghan differently; they should not be assumed to be the same person.
Why does Mandurah connect to “Flying with the King”?
Kernaghan told the Mandurah Times that “Flying with the King” grew out of a flight to perform at a Mandurah festival, when he sat beside Slim Dusty. “If it weren’t for Mandurah, that song would never have been written,” he said. That is Kernaghan’s account of the song’s origin.

He described regional Australia as central to his songwriting and said he sought out shows beyond city venues. The Mandurah story fits that connection between place, performance and the songs’ Australian country themes.
Lee Kernaghan’s career in context
Kernaghan’s debut album, The Outback Club, was released in 1992. His official biography lists “Boys From The Bush,” “Hat Town,” “The Outback Club” and “She’s My Ute” among his signature songs. The same 2025-copyright biography reports 13 studio albums, 40 chart-toppers, 38 Golden Guitars, four ARIA Awards and more than two million albums sold in Australia. These are figures stated by the artist’s biography, not independently audited totals.

The biography also says his 2015 album Spirit of the Anzacs debuted at number one on the ARIA all-genre album chart and was Australia’s highest-selling album of that year; that claim is likewise attributed to the official biography.
