Otras mujeres de la familia y su papel
La familia ampliada incluye, entre otras, a la duquesa de Gloucester y a la princesa Alexandra. La Casa Real explica que sus miembros colaboran para apoyar los deberes oficiales del rey, pero aparecer en una lista familiar no significa que todas desempeñen el mismo trabajo público ni que sean integrantes activas de la Casa Real.
Meghan, Beatrice y Eugenie
- Meghan, duquesa de Sussex: está casada con el príncipe Harry. Los Sussex dejaron de ser miembros activos de la familia real en enero de 2020. Esa condición laboral no altera su parentesco.
- Beatrice y Eugenie: son hijas del duque de York. Su parentesco con la familia real no debe confundirse con una función oficial activa.

Título, parentesco y sucesión no son lo mismo
Un título indica cómo se presenta a una persona, pero no determina por sí solo su lugar en la línea sucesoria ni cuánto trabajo oficial realiza. La sucesión se rige por descendencia y leyes. La reforma de 2013 eliminó la preferencia de un hijo varón sobre una hija mayor para las personas nacidas después del 28 de octubre de 2011; por eso Charlotte figura tercera, detrás de William y George, en la lista oficial consultada.
La lista institucional de nombres y títulos se publicó en 2025. No debe tomarse como un registro completo y actualizado a octubre de 2026: la portada oficial muestra un anuncio de nacimiento en agosto de 2026, pero la información disponible en ese anuncio no permite identificar al bebé. Para consultar el orden sucesorio, usa la explicación oficial de la sucesión y confirma la lista vigente en la fecha de consulta.
