On 24 May 2024, PerthNow reported that Lara Worthington, formerly known as Lara Bingle, had shared a nude video of herself at the edge of an outdoor hot tub to her Instagram Story. This is a past report, not a current update. The article did not independently verify the footage or establish whether Worthington consented to its wider republication.
What PerthNow reported
PerthNow’s report, published on 24 May 2024 at 12:21 pm, said Worthington shared the video to her Instagram Story that Friday. It described her at the edge of an outdoor hot tub. The account is attributable to the outlet; it is not independent verification of the post.
PerthNow listed Worthington as 36 years old and said she had 1.7 million Instagram followers at the time of publication. Those are figures from its 2024 report, not current age or audience counts.
What was said about the hot tub
The outlet said the spa appeared to be part of Worthington’s family home. As background, it pointed to an earlier October post captioned “soulful weekend at home 🤎🤎” that included video of one of her sons in the spa. This description does not establish the exact location or ownership.

What the report does not establish
- It does not independently confirm the video’s authenticity or provide a statement from Worthington about the 2024 Story.
- It does not establish whether the Story remains available or whether Worthington consented to anyone sharing the footage beyond the original post.
- It does not justify treating intimate footage as available for redistribution. The report’s description is not a reason to seek out or repost it.
How this differs from the 2010 photo controversy
This 2024 report concerns a video PerthNow said appeared on Instagram Story. It is separate from the 2010 controversy involving a shower photograph. ABC News quoted Bingle at the time saying, “When I found out about it, I just felt like I had been violated.” That statement relates to the earlier photo incident, not the 2024 video, and says nothing about consent or circumstances surrounding the later Story.
