What distinguishes the three premieres?
Landman: an oil-boomtown drama
Landman takes its setting from Texas oil boomtowns. PerthNow identified it as a Taylor Sheridan project and named Billy Bob Thornton, Jon Hamm and Demi Moore among the stars. It was the roundup’s contemporary drama entry.
Dune: Prophecy: a prequel about the Bene Gesserit
Dune: Prophecy reaches back roughly 10,000 years before the events of the films to explore the origins of the Bene Gesserit. PerthNow also noted Australian actor Travis Fimmel. Its premise makes it the science-fiction prequel among the three listings.

Were these really among the year’s biggest shows?
“Some of the year’s biggest” is the original headline’s framing, not a measured ranking. PerthNow’s article does not provide audience figures, ratings, or other comparative evidence establishing that these were the year’s biggest shows. It is best read as a roundup of notable launches that week, not a data-backed ranking or a recommendation based on comparative reviews.
