Lainey Wilson and Devlin “Duck” Hodges are married: The Knot reports they wed on May 10, 2026, at Ruskin Cave in Dickson, Tennessee. Hodges retired from football in 2022 and moved into other work, including real estate, coaching, and an apparel business inspired by golf and the outdoors. “Boyfriend” describes their earlier relationship, not their status today.
How Wilson and Hodges’s relationship developed
Wilson and Hodges met through mutual friends and began dating in 2021, according to Biography and The Knot. They kept their relationship private for more than two years before making their red-carpet debut at the Academy of Country Music Awards in May 2023.
They announced their engagement in February 2025. The Knot reports that they married on May 10, 2026, at Ruskin Cave in Dickson, Tennessee. In an interview with the publication, Wilson said, “We just want to make it feel honest, like if you walked in, you’d say, ‘Yep, that’s them.’”
What Hodges did after retiring from football
Hodges retired from football in 2022. His post-football story is a career transition, not a documented account of a dramatic change in wealth or lifestyle. In an August 28, 2024 interview with Taste of Country, Wilson said, “He is doing real estate and coaching. He is thriving.” That is a dated description of his work at the time, rather than confirmation of his current employment.

Us Weekly’s 2026 profile reports that Hodges started six NFL games and played for Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, and Ottawa. The six-start figure describes his football career, not his success after retirement.
Club Country: golf and outdoor-inspired apparel
Hodges’s post-football business is Club Country, an apparel brand built around golf and outdoor life. In the brand’s Our Story, Hodges describes his priorities this way: “I’m not a football player who duck hunts. I’m a duck hunter first.” He says he wanted clothes that could work from the golf course to dinner or church. The brand lists polos, button-ups, hoodies, and headwear.

His own account describes an interest that developed after he finished playing: he spent a couple of years considering what to do next, became interested in golf, and saw a way to connect golf and the outdoors through apparel. This supports describing Club Country as an entrepreneurial project shaped by those interests; it does not establish the business’s revenue or whether it replaced his football income.

Netflix lists Lainey Wilson: Keepin’ Country Cool, a 2026 documentary about Wilson’s path to country music success. It provides context for the couple’s relationship, but it is not presented as a Hodges-only biography. In documentary footage quoted by Us Weekly, Wilson describes the timing of their careers: “when we met he was coming out of football and I was starting to kind of ramp up into music.”
