Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County launched Lauren Conrad, Kristin Cavallari and Stephen Colletti into reality-TV fame; The Hills followed Conrad to Los Angeles and brought a new group of friends and relationships into the story. In 2026, ten original Laguna Beach cast members reunited for a special that looked back rather than reigniting old conflicts. Their lives since the shows have taken different paths across fashion, business, acting, media and family.
How the two shows connect
Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County premiered in 2004, following a group of high-school students. Its first season centered in part on the triangle involving Conrad, Cavallari and Colletti. The Hills became its spin-off, following Conrad after her move to Los Angeles, where her life intersected with Heidi Montag, Audrina Patridge and Whitney Port. Where the central Laguna Beach cast are now
Lauren Conrad
Conrad moved from Laguna Beach into The Hills, then built a career that included fashion lines and books. She co-founded The Little Market, a nonprofit fair-trade shop. At the time of the April 2026 reunion coverage, she had returned to Laguna Beach and was raising two sons with her husband, William Tell. She was also an executive producer of the reunion. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Conrad described the prospect of filming again as nerve-racking, adding that the cast’s executive-producer role gave them some control they had not had in the past.
Kristin Cavallari
Cavallari went from a central Laguna Beach role to leading The Hills. The original show sometimes cast her as its villain, but that was a reality-TV portrayal, not a measure of her character. Since then, she has built the lifestyle company Uncommon James and continued media work through her podcast Let’s Be Honest and reunion-era appearances. April 2026 coverage placed her in Nashville, where she shares three children with former husband Jay Cutler. She was an executive producer of the reunion alongside Conrad and Colletti.

Stephen Colletti
Colletti’s Laguna Beach story connected him to both Conrad and Cavallari. He continued acting, including a role on One Tree Hill, and co-created Everyone Is Doing Great. He and Cavallari also reunited for the Back to the Beach podcast. Colletti and his wife, Alex Weaver, welcomed their son Rhodes in May 2026, according to Parade’s cast update.
Other Laguna Beach cast members
Lo Bosworth founded the wellness company Love Wellness and welcomed a daughter in January 2026, according to Us Weekly. Dieter Schmitz works in hospitality. Trey Phillips and Talan Torriero were also among the cast members who returned for reunion coverage. The reunion included a broader group of former cast members, but these updates are not a complete accounting of everyone who appeared on the series.
Where The Hills cast are now
The shows share several cast connections, but their former ensemble members do not have a single shared current project. A January 2026 Us Weekly guide reports these later developments:
- Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt: They have two sons, and Pratt founded Pratt Daddy Crystals.
- Audrina Patridge: She has continued television and other media work.
- Whitney Port: She has pursued fashion and television projects.
- Jason Wahler: He has spoken publicly about sobriety and recovery.
- Lo Bosworth: A crossover from Laguna Beach, she founded Love Wellness.
What happened at the 2026 Laguna Beach reunion
The Reunion: Laguna Beach premiered on the Roku Channel on April 10, 2026. The special was filmed in October 2025, after the cast’s 20-year high-school reunion. ABC News reported that returning cast members included Conrad, Cavallari, Colletti, Torriero, Christina Sinclair, Phillips, Schmitz, Morgan Olsen and Jessica Smith; the Los Angeles Times counted ten original cast members and reported Casey Wilson as host. The cast members who attended were not necessarily a statement about who remains close privately.

That approach also marked a change in the cast’s relationship to filming. Conrad told the same outlet that having cameras back in her life was nerve-racking, but that the cast’s executive-producer roles meant they had a say and felt more in control than they had in the past.
