The available official listings do not confirm the wording of Lady Gaga’s reported thank-you letter in the MAYHEM booklet, or which album edition includes it. The physical release comes in multiple formats with different inserts, so a letter associated with one copy should not be assumed to appear in every booklet.
What is known about the letter?
No authenticated transcript of the letter appears in the official sources cited here. A fan discussion describes Gaga thanking her fans and Michael, but it does not verify the booklet text; it should not be treated as a quotation or definitive account. The exact wording and the edition containing the letter remain unconfirmed by the cited listings.
Why the edition matters
Lady Gaga’s official MAYHEM collection lists multiple physical formats and variants, including a CD box set, cassette, picture disc, and CD fan packs. Contents can vary by edition and market, and product availability may change.
US CD box set
The official US CD box set listing specifies the standard CD, an exclusive T-shirt, an exclusive poster, and the box. It does not list the reported thank-you letter.

Japanese editions
Universal Music Japan’s January 29, 2025 release announcement gives market-specific details for the Japanese editions released March 7, 2025. The standard CD includes a bonus track and translated lyrics and message. The limited deluxe CD is a seven-inch paper-jacket edition with a bonus track, a 16-page original photobook, two stickers, and another jacket. The limited LP is described as a domestic-spec import with an obi and another jacket. These details apply to the Japanese editions in that announcement, not to every international release; it does not identify the letter as an included item.
146 LP
The official MAYHEM 146 LP listing describes 180g black vinyl, an exclusive cover, a poster, and a bonus track, and offers an alternate signed-art-card version. It does not confirm that the LP edition contains the booklet letter.

How to check a specific copy
To establish whether a particular edition contains the letter, check its own product listing or inspect the physical package. Compare the market, format, printed materials, and bonus-track details rather than inferring inclusion from the word “booklet” or from inserts listed for another edition. The official descriptions above document some contents but do not resolve the letter’s presence.
