Before Kylie Minogue opened the 2025 Tension Tour at Perth’s RAC Arena, she responded to a video of a fan named Grace discovering she would attend the show for her birthday. PerthNow reported that Minogue smiled and blew kisses, then captioned her reel: “Grace, you got me all pre-show emosh I’ll see you there Who am I seeing tonight?!”
What happened in the video
In a report published on 15 February 2025, PerthNow described a video in which someone behind the camera asks Grace where she is going for her birthday and whom she will see. Grace answers, “Kylie!” and waves her arms. Minogue responds with a smile and blown kisses.
The report identifies the fan only by her first name and says the concert tickets were a birthday gift. It attributes the caption “Grace, you got me all pre-show emosh I’ll see you there Who am I seeing tonight?!” to Minogue’s Instagram reel. The original post was not independently verified for this account. PerthNow’s report does not provide a reliable view count, so no figure is included here.
Why Perth was the tour’s starting point
RAC Arena said on 9 February 2025 that Minogue had chosen Perth to launch the global Tension Tour. The venue’s general manager, Michael Scott, called it “a huge moment” and said the arena had been booked months ahead for production rehearsals before opening night. RAC Arena’s announcement described the significance of hosting the tour’s first performance.

The opening night at RAC Arena
The first show took place on 15 February 2025. Frontier Touring described it as a sellout, reporting a crowd of 13,500; that is the promoter’s figure, not an independently audited attendance count. Frontier Touring’s opening-night account covered the Perth debut.
Before the tour began, the Australian Associated Press reported that more than 70 dates were planned across five continents. That was the reported scale of the tour plan in February 2025, not a confirmed final count of completed shows. After the Perth performance, Minogue wrote, as reproduced by AAP: “TENSION TOUR …. We have LIFT OFF 💎💖 Oh Perth, what a special group of Lovers to share opening night with! The VIBES. The FEELS. I love you all so much 🥲 NEXT STOP: Adelaide 🇦🇺💎💖” AAP’s report covered the opening show and her reaction afterward.
