この記事では、同一PC構成と別サーバー構成の選び方、NextPVRの初期設定、Kodi公式のNextPVR PVR Clientとの接続、ライブ視聴、即時録画、番組予約、シリーズ録画、障害の切り分けまでを説明します。
KodiとNextPVRの役割
KodiのPVR機能は、テレビ向けの画面、番組表、再生、録画予約を提供するクライアントです。実際の放送信号を受信し、チューナーを制御し、EPGを取得し、録画を実行してファイルを保存するのはNextPVRなどのバックエンドです。
- Kodi：チャンネル表示、ライブ再生、番組表、予約、録画再生。
- NextPVR：チューナー管理、チャンネルスキャン、EPG、録画スケジュール、録画ファイル保存。
- TV入力：USB・内蔵チューナー、HDHomeRunなどのネットワークチューナー、SAT>IP、対応IPTV。
- EPG：番組名、放送時刻、説明を提供し、番組表予約やシリーズ録画の基礎になるデータ。
Kodiをインストールしただけでは「TV」メニューは通常表示されません。逆に、NextPVRはWebアプリから単独でライブ視聴と録画を確認できます。

必要な機器と構成
必須項目
- Kodiを動かす端末。
- Windows、Linux、macOS、Dockerのいずれかで動くNextPVR Server。対応OSと入力方式の詳細はNextPVR公式Wikiで確認します。
- 地域の放送方式に合うチューナーとアンテナ、同軸配線、またはネットワーク接続。
- EPGデータソース。
- NextPVR側の録画保存先と十分な空き容量。
NextPVRは個人・非商用利用が無料ですが、商用利用にはライセンスが必要です。公式ダウンロードページはNextPVRのダウンロードにあります。
同一PCで動かす
1台のPC ├─ TVチューナー ├─ NextPVR └─ Kodi
初期検証が最も簡単です。ただし、そのPCが停止している間は予約録画も実行されません。
別PC・NAS・Dockerホストに分ける
サーバーPC／NAS／Dockerホスト ├─ NextPVR ├─ チューナーまたはネットワークチューナー └─ 録画保存先 リビング端末 └─ Kodi + NextPVR PVR Client
サーバーを常時起動し、KodiからサーバーのLANアドレスへ接続します。録画ファイルは通常サーバー側に作成されるため、Kodi端末に録画用ディスクがなくても構いません。KodiのPVRバックエンド案内も、ネットワーク上のバックエンドへアドオンで接続する構成を前提にしています。
地域と放送方式を先に確認する
NextPVRが対応するプロトコルでも、地域の放送を合法的に受信・復号・録画できるとは限りません。米国のOTAではATSC、日本の地上波ではISDB-T対応機器が必要です。日本のBS/CSは衛星アンテナ、対応機器、暗号化やコピー制御を確認してください。ケーブルテレビも暗号化のため一般的なUSBチューナーで録画できない場合があります。
IPTVでは、M3U、EPG XML、認証、トークン、有効期限、同時接続数、録画を許可する利用規約をサービスごとに確認します。「IPTV対応」だけを理由に、すべてのサービスを録画できると考えないでください。

NextPVRをインストールして初期設定する
- 公式ダウンロードページから利用OS用のNextPVRを入手し、インストールします。
- Webアプリを同一PCで開きます。標準アドレスは
http://localhost:8866、必要ならhttp://127.0.0.1:8866です。 - 公式ページに表示される初期ログイン情報（現行案内では
admin/password）でログインし、直ちに固有のパスワードへ変更します。実際のインストーラー画面を優先してください。 - 録画保存先と一時ファイル保存先を確認します。外付けディスクやネットワーク共有を使う場合は、NextPVRサービスの実行アカウントに書き込み権限を与えます。
チューナー、チャンネル、EPGを設定する
入力デバイスを登録
NextPVRの設定でUSB・内蔵チューナー、HDHomeRun、SAT>IP、IPTVなどを追加します。自動検出の結果は、OSドライバー、地域、ファームウェア、Dockerのネットワーク設定によって変わります。デバイス固有の手順はNextPVRのセットアップ案内で確認してください。
チャンネルスキャン
- デバイス設定で正しい地域と放送方式を選びます。
- チャンネルスキャンを実行します。
- チャンネル名、番号、重複を確認し、受信できない項目を削除または非表示にします。
- 空白のチャンネル名には名前を付けるか削除します。Kodi Wikiは、空白名がPVRマネージャー起動時の問題になる可能性を指摘しています。
EPGを割り当てる
チャンネルを検出してもEPGが自動的に正しく入るとは限りません。地域に合うEPGソースを指定し、各チャンネルとの対応付け、タイムゾーン、サマータイム、番組の開始・終了時刻を確認します。EPGがないと、番組表予約やシリーズ録画が使えない、または不正確になることがあります。EPGの手動・定期更新は、録画やライブ視聴をしていない時間帯に設定するのが安全です（追加設定）。
まずNextPVR単体でテストする
Kodiを設定する前に、NextPVR Webアプリで次の項目を一つずつ確認します。KodiのPVR基本ガイドも、バックエンドを先に検証する手順を勧めています。
- チャンネル一覧が表示される。
- ライブ映像と音声を再生できる。
- EPGに番組名と時刻が表示される。
- 現在放送中の番組を即時録画できる。
- 録画ファイルが指定フォルダーに作成され、再生できる。
ここで失敗する場合、Kodiを追加しても直りません。チューナー、信号、EPG、保存先を先に修正します。
KodiにNextPVR PVR Clientを追加する
- Kodiを開き、Settings（設定）を選びます。
- Add-ons → Install from repositoryへ進みます。
- PVR clientsからNextPVR PVR Clientを選び、Installを押します。
- インストール後にConfigureを開きます。
これはKodi公式リポジトリのアドオンです。詳細はNextPVR PVR ClientのWikiと公式アドオンページを参照してください。メニュー名はKodiのバージョン、スキン、翻訳で多少異なります。

KodiからNextPVRへ接続する

サーバー側のPINと一致 |
127.0.0.1はKodiを実行している端末自身を指します。別PCでは使用せず、NextPVRホストのLAN IPを入力してください。別端末構成では、OSファイアウォール、ゲストWi-FiのAP isolation、VPN・VLAN・Dockerネットワークによる遮断も確認します。
設定を保存してKodiを再起動し、PVRデータベースの読み込みを待ちます。成功すると、スキンに応じて「TV」「Live TV」「番組表」「録画」などが表示されます。
KodiでライブTVを見る
- 「TV」または「Live TV」からチャンネル一覧を開きます。
- チャンネルを選んで再生し、音声、チャンネル切り替え、必要なら一時停止・巻き戻しを確認します。
- 番組表から現在放送中の番組を選んで再生します。
タイムシフト（一時停止や巻き戻し）と、永続的な録画ファイルは別機能です。一時停止しただけで番組が録画保存されるわけではありません。
Kodiで録画予約する
番組表から予約
- TVガイドを開き、録画する番組を選びます。
- 録画またはタイマー追加を選びます。
- 単発録画、シリーズ録画などの方式を指定します。
- 録画タイマー一覧で時刻、チャンネル、保存先を確認します。
視聴中に即時録画
- ライブTVを再生し、リモコンまたはキーボードの録画操作を実行します。
- 表示された「番組終了まで」「固定時間」などの方式を選びます。
- 録画中の表示を確認します。
Kodiの録画設定では、録画ボタンの動作や固定時間録画を調整できます。EPGがない場合は番組終了時刻を判断できず、固定時間録画になることがあります。
シリーズ録画の注意
シリーズ録画はEPGの番組名、放送局、番組識別子に依存します。新作のみ、再放送を含む、特定チャンネルのみ、曜日・時間帯指定、重複回避などの条件を確認してください。チューナー数が足りない時間帯や不正確なEPGでは、取りこぼしや再放送の重複録画が起こります。

録画前後の余白
Kodiには開始前・終了後のパディング設定がありますが、すべてのバックエンドやアドオンが同じように適用するとは限りません。NextPVR側のタイマー設定も確認し、余白を長くしすぎて隣接番組と競合しないようにします。

録画を再生・管理する
Kodiの録画メニューから録画一覧を開き、再生、削除、タイマー変更、シリーズルール確認・キャンセルを行います。録画ファイルの管理主体はNextPVRです。Kodiのファイルブラウザーへ録画フォルダーを別途追加しなくても、アドオンがNextPVRの録画一覧を取得します。
トラブルシューティング
「TV」メニューが出ない
- NextPVRが起動し、単体でチャンネルを表示できるか確認。
- NextPVR PVR Clientがインストール済み・有効か確認。
- IP、ポート
8866、PINを再確認。 - Kodiを再起動し、PVRマネージャーの読み込みを待つ。
- 空白のチャンネル名を修正または削除。
別端末から接続できない
127.0.0.1ではなくNextPVRホストのLAN IPを使う。- サーバーのファイアウォールでNextPVR通信を許可する。
- 両端末が同じLANにあり、ゲストネットワークの端末隔離が無効か確認。
- DHCPでサーバーIPが変わっていないか、VPN・VLAN・Dockerの経路を確認。
チャンネルがない、または映らない
- チューナードライバー、ファームウェア、アンテナ・同軸接続を確認。
- 地域と放送方式を選び直してスキャンする。
- ネットワークチューナーが同じLANから見えるか確認。
- IPTVならURL、認証、トークン、有効期限、同時接続数、利用規約を確認。
EPGが空白または時刻がずれる
- EPGソースとチャンネルのマッピングを確認。
- タイムゾーンとサマータイム設定を確認。
- EPG更新ログを確認し、録画・ライブ視聴中を避けて手動更新。
- 放送局名やチャンネル番号がEPG提供元と一致しているか確認。
ライブ視聴はできるが録画できない
- NextPVR側の保存先の空き容量と書き込み権限を確認。
- ネットワーク共有なら、サービスアカウントからアクセスできるか確認。
- 同時録画数がチューナー数を超えていないか確認。
- 外付けディスクの切断・スリープ、EPGの開始・終了時刻を確認。
録画はあるが再生できない
NextPVRはOSやインストール済みデコーダーを利用します。Windowsで再生問題がある場合は、公式のデコーダー案内に従ってLAV Filtersを導入し、NextPVRのSettings → Decodersで指定します。Kodi側では、MPEG-2、H.264、HEVC、AC-3、E-AC-3などのコーデック、ハードウェアデコード、音声パススルーを端末ごとに確認してください。録画ファイル自体が途中で終わっていないかも調べます。
録画が切れる、または重複する
- 同時録画数、チューナー数、同一マルチプレックスの扱いを確認。
- 録画前後の余白を短くして競合を減らす。
- EPGの番組識別子とシリーズ録画条件を確認。
- 重複登録されたチャンネルを整理。

HDHomeRunの製品情報はSiliconDust公式サイト、USBチューナーの例はHauppauge公式サイトで、地域・OS・放送方式を確認してください。日本の放送に米国ATSC機器がそのまま使えるとは限りません。
まとめ
安定した構築順は、NextPVRでチューナー、チャンネル、EPG、録画を単体確認し、その後Kodi公式のNextPVR PVR Clientを接続する方法です。NextPVRが受信と録画を担当し、Kodiがリビング向けの視聴・番組表・予約画面を担当します。対応可否は、Kodiのバージョンだけでなく、地域の放送方式、チューナー、ネットワーク、EPG、保存先、暗号化と利用規約で決まります。
