Knuckles is a six-episode live-action series in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. Paramount+ released it in 2024, so it is not an upcoming title. Paramount announced the launch schedule in a press release dated February 9, 2024. The dates were:
- United States: all episodes became available on Paramount+ on Friday, April 26, 2024.
- Additional Paramount+ territories: the series was announced for April 27, 2024. The release does not name the specific countries, so check Paramount+ in your region if you need the exact local date.
Paramount Global Content’s catalog lists season one as six episodes in total.
Where to watch
Paramount+ is the official streaming home for the series. The 2024 dates describe the original rollout, not what is available in any given country today. Regional catalogs change over time, so confirm availability on Paramount+ before you subscribe or plan a viewing schedule around the show.

Paramount’s official series description reads: “The series follows Knuckles on a hilarious and action-packed journey of self-discovery as he agrees to train Wade as his protege and teach him the ways of the Echidna warrior.” This is promotional copy from Paramount+, not a quotation from a named speaker.
Paramount’s catalog places the series in the franchise chronology in this order:

A search excerpt for Paramount Press Express describes Rory McCann as playing the villain The Buyer, and Christopher Lloyd as the voice of Knuckles’ mentor, Chief Pachacamac. The full press page could not be checked against that excerpt, and the official series and catalog pages do not confirm either role. Treat both as unverified until Paramount’s own materials confirm them.

The official trailer is hosted on Paramount+. Paramount announced it in the February 9, 2024 press release, which said the trailer had debuted the previous day, February 8, 2024. Its synopsis centers on Knuckles training Wade as his protégé.
