Kit Hoover and Crowley Sullivan were reported to be separating in December 2024 after 25 years of marriage. Hoover later filed for divorce, according to Us Weekly; its report said the filing was made in March 2025 and listed May 1, 2024, as the couple’s separation date. The latest coverage in the sources reviewed, published August 3, 2026, still described the divorce as ongoing, and does not establish that a final judgment has been entered.

Has the divorce been finalized?
The latest report included in the sources reviewed, published August 3, 2026, still characterized the divorce as ongoing. Those reports do not confirm a final divorce judgment, so the case should not be described as finalized on this evidence.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Have either of them explained why they separated?
The reviewed coverage does not provide a direct explanation from Hoover or Sullivan for the separation. “Irreconcilable differences” is the reason Us Weekly attributed to the filing; it is not a personal account of what led to the split. An additional Us Weekly item quoted an unnamed source, which should not be treated as a statement from Hoover.
