What is SKIMS “bush underwear”?
“Bush underwear” and “The Ultimate Bush” were informal names used in coverage of SKIMS’s Faux Hair Micro String Thong. It is a sheer stretch-mesh string thong with faux hair attached—not underwear made with real pubic hair. The product description reproduced by Us Weekly described a mix of curly and straight faux hair, elastic side straps, and a fit intended to run true to size.
When did SKIMS launch it, and what did the campaign look like?
Us Weekly dated the reveal to Tuesday, October 14, 2025. Its report said the campaign drew on 1970s game shows and quoted SKIMS’s promotional line: “With our daring new Faux Hair Panty, your carpet can be whatever color you want it to be.” El País described a retro, parody-like campaign in which models appeared on platforms and the underwear was pixelated in images.
The release was presented as provocative and humorous. Marie Claire recorded mixed reactions from its beauty team; those editorial observations do not establish a universal response or a wider social impact.

What did it cost, and what sizes were reported?
Launch coverage gave different market-specific prices. Us Weekly reported $32 in the United States and sizes XXS–4X; Marie Claire also displayed a $32 price. El País reported €42 in Spain. These figures describe launch-period coverage from 2025, not a verified current price or worldwide price list.

How was the thong meant to be cared for?
Us Weekly reproduced the product-page instruction “Hand wash cold with like colors” and reported that the item should not be tumble-dried or dry-cleaned. These are launch-period care details; follow the garment label or product page if you have one, since current instructions have not been verified.

Did it sell out, and can you still buy it?
Us Weekly, Marie Claire, and El País reported that many or nearly all variations sold out soon after launch. None supplied a verified unit-sales figure, and that initial sell-through does not establish whether the thong is available now. SKIMS’s current homepage is promoting a Fall ’26 collection, but it does not verify the old product’s inventory. Current stock, condition, return terms, and a verified Amazon listing were not established by the cited coverage.
For current availability, check SKIMS directly rather than relying on launch-era sold-out reports or search-result marketplace listings. A listing should match the exact product name, Faux Hair Micro String Thong, and show current seller and return details.
