What Kevin Nash said about his relationship with Tristen
The family statement announcing Tristen’s death offered the clearest public description of their relationship. It said Tristen had recently started working on Kevin’s podcast and that “the two enjoyed their time together.” The Independent reproduced the statement, which also asked the public to respect the family’s privacy.
The statement describes a recent shared project and time spent together. It does not provide a fuller account of their private relationship, so broader conclusions about it would go beyond what the family made public.
When did Tristen Nash die?
Tristen died on October 19, 2022, at age 26, according to contemporary reporting. The family announced his death in a statement released the following day, October 20, and requested privacy. ProWrestling.net published the announcement and statement.

How did Kevin Nash say his son died?
On the October 23, 2022 episode of his podcast, Kliq This, Nash said, “The seizure caused the cardiac arrest.” ProWrestling.net’s October 24 report quoted his account and described his comments about emergency responders trying to save Tristen. Nash also thanked the doctors and nurses at Halifax hospital.
This is Nash’s explanation of the events, not an independently verified medical conclusion. The reviewed reporting does not establish an official autopsy finding. It therefore does not support stating a definitive medical cause beyond what Nash said.
