What Season 2 is about
The new season leaves behind Season 1’s “Shiju, Parayil Veedu, Neendakara” murder case for a different investigation: the disappearance of civil police officer Ambili Raju. Scroll describes an opening thread involving police sniffer dog Terry during a robbery investigation, followed by a jump ten months ahead to Noble’s posting and Ambili’s disappearance. From there, the search reaches across Kerala and into neighboring states. The six-episode season builds its mystery through successive leads rather than a rapid sequence of revelations.

The shift in case gives the series room to widen its scope while keeping the police investigation at its center. The result is busier than a single-location mystery, but its deliberate progression may not suit viewers looking for a brisk thriller.
Does the procedural work?
Reviews identify close attention to police work as one of the season’s strengths. Scroll praises the detailed procedural texture, and Cinema Express notes that the investigation incorporates contemporary elements such as call detail records, tower locations, CCTV footage, and forensic techniques. These are details of the show’s fictional investigation, not a guide to real police procedure.

The series lets clues accumulate, and reviewers generally regard that measured pace as a strength: the mystery develops organically, with episode hooks sustaining interest. Scroll nevertheless finds unnecessary padding. That tension captures the season’s main trade-off: its patience gives the investigation room to breathe, but some stretches may feel longer than the clues warrant.
Performances, characters, and emotional reach
The reviews praise the ensemble, with particular appreciation for the performances and the extra emotional dimension. Cinema Express highlights themes of power, loyalty, and human-animal bonds, while the dogs add a distinctive thread to the crime story. The expanded emotional material makes this more than a sequence of investigative steps.

Character depth is less consistent. The Indian Express finds Noble underdeveloped, and Cinema Express considers some police characterizations flat. Those criticisms qualify the favorable response to the performances: a strong ensemble does not mean every character receives equally satisfying development.
How it compares with Season 1
Season 2 is a new case, not a continuation of the first season’s murder investigation. The reviews see continuity in the show’s procedural focus and deliberate storytelling, alongside a broader search and stronger emotional emphasis. Scroll calls it an improvement over its predecessor; The Indian Express rates it 3.5 out of 5 and describes it as just as gripping as Season 1, if not better. Cinema Express also gives it 3.5 out of 5, praising its emotional resonance while noting limitations in characterization.

These are critics’ judgments, not a consensus that the sequel is better for every viewer. The expanded scope and patient clue trail are likely to appeal to viewers who enjoy methodical investigations; uneven characterization and padding may matter more to those who prioritize tight pacing or fully rounded leads.

Ahammed Khabeer directs. Bahul Ramesh is credited with the story, screenplay, and dialogues. The principal named cast includes Arjun Radhakrishnan, Aju Varghese, Lal, Indrans, and Harisree Ashokan.
