Whether it is “everything fans hoped for” is a matter of taste, not an established consensus; the more useful question is whether the fights, pacing and ending work for you.
What Season 2, Part 2 is—and when it came out
Netflix released the 16-episode installment worldwide on August 15, 2024, presenting it as the conclusion of the Kengan Annihilation Tournament and the anime series. The official Japanese anime website also labels it the series conclusion, but its television schedule is separate: broadcasts began in Japan on September 12, 2025, with the final dates listed in December 2025. Those later TV dates do not change the Netflix premiere date. Netflix’s announcement and the official anime website provide the release details.
The premise remains a corporate conflict settled through martial artists fighting in Kengan matches. Part 2 is the tournament’s concluding installment, so its appeal depends on watching the bouts build toward a finish rather than on a new standalone setup.
Do the fights and visuals deliver?
The fights are the installment’s central attraction: a succession of contests gives the tournament a clear forward drive, and the varied fighters make each bout a chance to see different styles and temperaments collide. The result is strongest for viewers who enjoy martial-arts action as spectacle and are willing to follow a large roster through the final stretch.

The animation is produced by LARX ENTERTAINMENT, with Seiji Kishi directing, Makoto Uezu handling series composition, and Kazuaki Morita designing the characters. Those credits identify the team behind the adaptation; they are not, by themselves, proof of any particular level of visual quality. Netflix also lists action, sports and MMA among its service categories, which describe its catalog labeling rather than a critical verdict. Netflix’s title page carries those labels.
Do the tournament and character arcs get satisfying payoffs?
Part 2 has the job of completing the tournament as well as moving its fighters toward a final reckoning. That structure gives returning characters’ clashes added weight: the bouts are not only tests of strength but also the point at which the series cashes in on rivalries and expectations established along the way. Viewers who are invested in the competitors are more likely to find the culmination rewarding than those who mainly want a small cast or a tightly focused personal drama.

The story adapts the manga written by Yabako Sandrovich and illustrated by Daromeon, originally published on Ura Sunday and MangaONE. Netflix reported more than 670 million manga reads in 2024; that is Netflix’s figure, and the announcement does not provide an independently audited count or measurement method. The scale of that reported readership is context for the source material’s reach, not evidence that every reader—or every anime viewer—will like this ending.
Does the 16-episode run sustain its pace?
The installment’s length gives the tournament room to reach its conclusion, but it also means the story is organized around a continuing sequence of fights. That format can feel propulsive if you want to see the bracket advance and the remaining matchups play out. If you prefer frequent changes of setting or a plot that spends less time inside combat, the same structure may feel prolonged.

Netflix’s announcement credits music by Yasuharu Takanashi, an element that supports the series’ action-centered presentation. The opening theme is “Feel My Pain,” performed by HEY-SMITH; the ending theme is “NANI?,” performed by Jing Dogg. Netflix’s release announcement names the performers.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is the ending conclusive?
Yes in the sense that this is presented as the anime’s series finale and the conclusion of the Kengan Annihilation Tournament. It is the intended endpoint of the anime adaptation’s tournament story, not a promise that every viewer will find the emotional resolution equally satisfying. The official announcement frames the finish as a contest to determine the strongest fighter in a corporate profit war; that is Netflix’s promotional framing, not a quotation from a named person or an independent assessment.
