Coverage of Kendall Jenner’s 2023 tropical beach photos describes two bikinis, not one confirmed “underboob-baring” look: a black triangle top with high-waisted string bottoms, and a custom crocheted Deparel triangle bikini with micro-string bottoms. The available report does not establish which suit the exact headline refers to, so the designer attribution should not be treated as certain.
What Jenner wore in the beach photos
Teen Vogue’s May 15, 2023 coverage describes two distinct looks from Jenner’s tropical beach photos:
- A black triangle-top bikini paired with high-waisted string bottoms.
- A custom crocheted Deparel bikini, with a triangle top and micro-string bottoms.
The second look is the one tied to Deparel, but the article calls it custom. That does not establish that the exact suit was offered as a standard retail product. The coverage also does not identify either look as the definitive match for the “tiniest underboob-baring” wording. Teen Vogue’s beach-photo coverage documents the two outfits without resolving that headline-to-image ambiguity.
Why the separate campaign story is easy to confuse with the beach photos
Jenner also appeared in a separate FWRD summer 2023 campaign. Teen Vogue’s June 6, 2023 report identifies a Di Petsa Twisted Underbust Bikini Top with a matching bottom in one campaign look, and a one-shoulder top with string bottoms from The Attico in another. Those campaign outfits are distinct from the two suits described in the tropical beach-photo coverage; the campaign is not evidence that either beach suit was made by Di Petsa or The Attico. The campaign report gives historical 2023 prices for the Di Petsa pieces, but those figures do not establish current pricing or availability.

How to find a similar style
For a look inspired by the photos rather than an exact match, “women’s string bikini set” is a reasonable search phrase. Compare the details that distinguish the looks:
- Top: a classic triangle shape versus a more revealing underbust or cutout construction.
- Bottom: high-waisted strings versus narrow micro-string sides.
- Fabric: crocheted or knitted texture versus smooth swimwear fabric.
- Attribution: an independently selected similar silhouette versus a confirmed designer match.
An online result for a string bikini set should be treated as similar in style, not as the exact custom Deparel suit. Current stock and any exact-product listing have not been established.

What other Deparel and bikini coverage adds—and what it does not
Teen Vogue later described a different red-and-white Deparel knit string bikini in a January 5, 2024 article and reported at that time that Jenner’s custom set had not been released. That is historical context, not proof of whether the beach suit is available now. The 2024 Deparel coverage concerns a separate look.
A 2020 Teen Vogue report identified Sommer Swim in a different Jenner bikini look in the Bahamas and said the reported pieces were sold out at that time. It is unrelated to the 2023 beach photos and says nothing about current inventory. That earlier report should not be used to identify the 2023 suits.
