The words were a daughter’s expression of loss, not a joint statement from Kelly and her mother. The family’s death announcement, as quoted by TVLine, said Ozzy had died that morning surrounded by his family and love.
How Sharon Osbourne was seen paying tribute
Sharon’s publicly documented moment came at a different event. On July 30, 2025, a funeral procession passed through Birmingham, and Sharon and family members emerged to view tributes left by fans. That appearance was a public expression of grief, not evidence of a shared written tribute with Kelly. Keeping the events distinct matters: Kelly’s words appeared in an Instagram post on July 24; Sharon’s grief was observed at the Birmingham procession six days later.
The events surrounding Ozzy’s death
Ozzy Osbourne died on July 22, 2025, aged 76. TVLine reported that he had disclosed his Parkinson’s disease diagnosis in January 2020. His final live performance with Black Sabbath took place in Birmingham less than three weeks before his death, at the band’s July 5 Back to the Beginning concert, according to TVLine and the Associated Press.

The concert and the funeral procession were separate gatherings. AP reported that 42,000 fans attended the July 5 performance; that figure does not describe attendance at the July 30 procession.

In a separate interview reported by MusicRadar on July 22, 2026, Sharon recalled Ozzy’s wish that people remember him by turning his music up loud and headbanging. That anniversary interview took place a year after Kelly’s post and should not be confused with the July 2025 tributes. MusicRadar
