Kelly Osbourne’s engagement ring connects to Joan Rivers through a nickname: Sid Wilson called Osbourne “Honeybee,” then learned Rivers had used the same name for her. Why Joan Rivers is connected to the ring
Wilson said he used “Honeybee” as a nickname for Osbourne and later discovered that her friend Joan Rivers had also called her that. He described the overlap as a coincidence. It is this shared nickname—not a claim that Rivers designed or commissioned the ring—that gives the design its personal connection to her.
In a video posted by Mouawad and quoted by National Jeweler, Wilson explained the idea: “I want the ring to reflect this somehow, using honeybees and pollen and diamond, obviously.”
How the nickname became a ring design
Mouawad says it created the bespoke ring in collaboration with Wilson and Pascal Mouawad. The maker describes a “distinctive beehive-inspired structure,” translating the Honeybee story into a physical motif rather than simply adding a bee-shaped decoration.

Wilson proposed backstage on July 5, 2025, at Ozzy Osbourne’s final Black Sabbath concert in Birmingham, England, according to National Jeweler. Mouawad announced the ring on July 7, 2025.
Did the ring really cost $110,000?
There is no confirmed $110,000 sale price or official valuation from Mouawad. Wedport reports that Mouawad did not disclose the value and attributes an approximate $110,000 estimate to Benjamin Khordipour of Estate Diamond Jewelry. Treat that number as an outside estimate, not a verified price, independent appraisal, or market value established by the maker.

The ring is described as a bespoke Mouawad creation made in collaboration with Wilson; no retail listing for this exact ring is established.
