What Kayla Nicole said about the breakup
Nicole discussed the breakup during an episode of Special Forces: The World’s Toughest Test. Marie Claire reported that the episode aired Jan. 8, though its article does not specify the year alongside that date. Nicole described the experience of ending a relationship in public as overwhelming: “I’ve never experienced anything like it.”
Marie Claire says Nicole and Kelce dated for five years before splitting in 2022. While speaking with fellow contestants, Nicole did not initially name Kelce; she identified him after being asked.
Why the comparisons affected her
Nicole said that even ordinary social-media posts could prompt people to bring up her ex and his new relationship. “I could post about the sky being blue, and people will have a response about an ex and their new situation,” she said, according to Marie Claire.

She described the effect as personal, saying the attention made her question her “overall value” as a person and partner. She characterized the comparisons as something that kept repeating: “I think it’s just the comparison,” she said. “And it’s just like on loop.”
What Nicole said about Taylor Swift
Nicole’s remarks about Swift were complimentary, not hostile. “I really like, like, her,” Nicole said. “I think she’s very talented.” Her account distinguished between her view of Swift and the repeated public comparisons that she found difficult.
