Katy Perry wore Poppy Lissiman’s Rossi Speedway sunglasses during the pre-game show at the 2024 AFL Grand Final, held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on September 28. PerthNow reported the sunglasses at $95 on October 2, 2024; that is a historical price, not a confirmed current price or availability.
Which sunglasses did Katy Perry wear?
PerthNow identified the pair as the Rossi Speedway sunglasses by Poppy Lissiman. The report describes Lissiman as Perth-born and raised in Fremantle. It is the source for the specific model identification.
Lissiman told PerthNow, “It was fantastic, she looked amazing in them.” She also described the design as “the ugly dad sneakers of eyewear,” saying the unexpected all-silver colour combination made the silhouette feel new and, in her words, “chic.” That is the designer’s playful opinion, rather than an objective product description.
When and where did Perry wear them?
Perry wore the sunglasses while performing the pre-game entertainment for the 2024 Toyota AFL Grand Final at the MCG in Melbourne on September 28, before the Sydney Swans–Brisbane Lions match. Getty’s event record dates the performance to that day. The AFL had announced Perry as part of the pre-game entertainment; its announcement quoted AFL executive general manager customer and commercial Kylie Rogers calling her “an international music icon who has been entertaining fans with her chart-topping hits for many years”.
