Katy Perry shared video and photos of herself and Orlando Bloom jumping from a hovering helicopter into the Mediterranean during a trip to Sardinia. Reports published in August 2024 place the jump near the Italian island, but do not establish the exact date it happened.
What happened in the video?
In the clip Perry posted, she and Bloom count down and jump into the sea while holding hands, according to PerthNow’s report of 13 August 2024. Sky TG24’s coverage the following day says the footage was captured with an action camera, but does not identify its brand or model.
Where and when did the jump take place?
The reports locate the jump in the Mediterranean near Sardinia, during a trip to Italy. PerthNow said Perry’s post appeared on a Tuesday, but neither report establishes the precise date of the jump itself. The August 2024 publication dates describe the coverage, not necessarily when the footage was filmed.
What did Katy Perry write?
PerthNow reproduced Perry’s caption: “Like the stars are in the sky, you and I will find each other in every single life.” It was a caption accompanying her social-media post, not a quote from an interview about the jump.
