A new Katekyo Hitman Reborn! anime has not been confirmed in the official franchise material reviewed through September 28, 2026. The report remains a rumor; the confirmed news is a 20th-anniversary campaign for the existing series, not an announced new production.
Is a new Katekyo Hitman Reborn! anime confirmed?
No. The official anime site’s news listing through September 28, 2026, contains anniversary programming, events, music, videos, and merchandise, but no announcement that a new anime is in production. The claim is circulating in fan discussion as a report attributed to an outside leaker; commenters also question its sourcing and ask for official confirmation. That establishes that a rumor is circulating, not that the underlying claim is true. Official anime site · Official news listing · Community discussion

What has the franchise officially announced for 2026?
The TV anime reaches its 20th anniversary in October 2026, and the franchise has designated 2026 as an anniversary year. Its official program looks back at the existing series and gives fans anniversary activities; none of these announcements says a new series is underway. Retrospective videos and music
The anniversary program includes a visual and promotional video, short clips selected from all 203 episodes of the existing TV anime, cast-commentary digests, and music programming. The figure of 203 refers to the episodes already produced; it is not a count or indication of new episodes. Official anniversary program

Goods and events
The official site announced an online shop with anniversary goods on March 30, 2026. It also announced the return of Bongole Festa for October 17–18, 2026, at Shibuya Cast in Tokyo, with archive exhibits, mini-games, a shop, and a cafe. These are merchandise and event announcements, not a new-anime announcement. Official shop announcement · Official Bongole Festa announcement
Is the reported project a remake, continuation, or film?
That has not been established. The official material reviewed does not identify a new project’s format, story coverage, studio, staff, or broadcast and distribution plans. There is no basis in those sources to call it a remake, a continuation, or a film, or to infer a format from the anniversary campaign. Official anime site · Official news listing
