The presenter fronting CBS Sports’ UEFA Champions League studio coverage is Kate Scott, formerly known professionally as Kate Abdo. CBS’ 2025–26 season announcement names Scott as host of UEFA Champions League Today, alongside Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards. Earlier CBS coverage used the name Kate Abdo, explaining why many viewers still search for her that way.
Why CBS now lists Kate Scott instead of Kate Abdo
CBS’ current talent profile lists her as Kate Scott. The network’s 2025–26 Champions League announcement also credits Scott as host, while CBS’ 2022–23 announcement named the host Kate Abdo. Those sources establish the change in credited name over time; they do not explain its personal reason, so it is best not to speculate.
Use Kate Scott when referring to CBS’ current listings and Kate Abdo when discussing earlier CBS coverage or the name many viewers recognize.

The show’s Paramount+ listing likewise identifies Kate Scott as host with Henry, Carragher and Richards. That helps explain what it means to front the coverage, but does not establish that every later episode follows exactly the same schedule.
Her broader CBS portfolio

For the 2025–26 season, CBS said every Champions League match would stream on Paramount+, with selected League Phase matches airing on CBS Sports Network and CBS Sports Golazo Network. That is the arrangement announced for that season, not a guarantee of future distribution.

A 2023 GQ profile describes her route from Germany to Sky Sports in the UK and then to CBS in the United States. It reported that she had lived in the US since 2017 at the time of publication; that is historical context, not confirmation of her current residence. The profile also highlights her work across languages and her role in guiding the Champions League studio conversation.
How CBS built its Champions League studio team
Sporting News reported that CBS executive producer Pete Radovich wanted Abdo for the Champions League coverage before the former-player analysts were hired. The publication quoted Radovich as saying, “we need to go get Kate Abdo.” This is Radovich’s comment as reported by Sporting News, not a quotation from a CBS press release.
