Leela’s mother, Meena Harris, shared the family moment the next day with the caption, “Auntie, we’re matching!”
Two tan suits, one family moment
Harris wore a bespoke tan wool suit with a white crepe blouse at the convention on August 19, 2024. Leela wore a tan children’s suit identified as a collaboration between Richfresh and Janie and Jack. Both outfits paired tan tailoring with a white top, while their styling differed: Leela wore Nike sneakers, and Harris wore heels. AOL’s August 20, 2024 report described the outfits and the family’s matching moment.
Leela’s suit had its own details
The child’s suit was more than a scaled-down copy. It featured a dark stripe running down the trousers and coordinating accents on the jacket pockets. The design reflects the collaboration’s adaptation of Richfresh’s tailoring and visual style for children. Harper’s Bazaar’s 2020 coverage discusses that collaboration, and Harlem’s Fashion Row also identifies it as a 2020 collaboration.
Who shared the photos
Leela is the younger daughter of Meena Harris and Nikolas Ajagu, and Kamala Harris’s great-niece. Meena, Harris’s niece and Leela’s mother, posted photos and video on Instagram on August 20, the day after the convention appearance. The caption reported in the coverage was: “Auntie, we’re matching!” The report also describes positive reactions to the look, including people asking whether the suit came in adult sizes; it does not reproduce an exact question.

Is the Richfresh and Janie and Jack suit available now?
The cited coverage documents the collaboration and Leela’s outfit, but does not establish whether this particular suit is currently for sale. A search for a girls’ tan suit set may turn up comparable styles, but that phrase should not be taken as evidence that the Richfresh and Janie and Jack design is in stock.
