Complex’s November 9, 2024, report describes the surprise appearance as a playful encounter between a viral character performance and the actor associated with Miles on screen.
What happened during the Mafiathon 2 appearance?
Complex reported that Moore stopped by while Ambersley was appearing with Cenat and his crew during Mafiathon 2. In the outlet’s account, Moore introduced himself as Miles Morales and said, “I’m Brooklyn’s one and only Spider-Man.” Ambersley responded, “There is no fucking way.” The two exchanged Spider-Verse banter, and Ambersley later said he “had to break character.” Complex’s contemporaneous report is the source for these scene details; a complete stream transcript was not established.
The report also says the group danced and sang along to “Sunflower,” performed by Post Malone and Swae Lee for the 2018 film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. That soundtrack moment tied the gathering back to the film, but it does not establish that a product was promoted or endorsed.
Who is NPC Miles Morales?
NPC Miles Morales is Malik Ambersley’s performance persona: a live creator act inspired by the Spider-Man character. Ambersley’s appearance with Cenat put that persona in the same room as Moore, whose connection to Miles Morales comes from voicing the character in the Spider-Verse films. The encounter’s appeal came from that contrast—not from the two playing the same role in the same format.

When did it happen, and what was Mafiathon 2?
Complex published its account on November 9, 2024, describing Moore’s visit as happening in the early morning that Saturday. Kai Cenat’s official site says Mafiathon 2 was a month-long Twitch subathon that began November 1 and ended November 30, 2024. The appearance was therefore one moment within the larger event, not a separate collaboration announced as a standalone project.
Cenat’s official Mafiathon page includes a clips collection, including a “Best Moments” video. The available material does not establish a complete transcript of this particular segment, so the dialogue and sequence above should be read as Complex’s report rather than an official transcript.

Why the crossover caught attention
Ambersley’s act makes a recognizable fictional character part of a live creator performance; Moore is the actor audiences hear as Miles in the animated films. Their exchange briefly brought those two kinds of familiarity together. The reported “Sunflower” singalong added an especially direct reference to Into the Spider-Verse, the film soundtrack on which the song appeared.
