Reports published April 18–19, 2025, said Justin Bieber shared a video from rapper Sexyy Red’s birthday party in which he kissed her on the cheek. Some commenters said he looked “happier with her than with Hailey,” but that is an interpretation of a brief clip—not an established fact about his feelings or marriage.
What the birthday-party video showed
PerthNow reported on April 18, 2025, that Bieber shared a video of himself kissing Sexyy Red on the cheek at her birthday party. The gesture, rather than any confirmed explanation of its meaning, became the focus of the online discussion. PerthNow’s report described the clip and the reaction it drew.
Why fans compared Bieber’s expression with Hailey
Us Weekly reported that some commenters compared Bieber’s apparent expression in the clip with his demeanor around his wife, Hailey Bieber. One comment the publication quoted asked, “Why does he look happier with her than with Hailey”. That is a fan’s reading of a moment captured on video, not evidence that Bieber was happier with one person than another. A short clip cannot establish someone’s emotional state or explain the nature of a relationship. Us Weekly’s account attributed the question to a commenter.
What Hailey Bieber and Sexyy Red reportedly posted
Us Weekly reported that Hailey responded to the post with three heart-eye emojis. The outlet also reported that Sexyy Red wrote, “My two personalities… thank for comin friend @justinbieber. HAPPY BIRTHDAY 2 DA BADDEST” in her birthday post, and replied “Yes, he do!” to a fan who said Bieber did not smile that way around Hailey. These are reactions as reported by the publication; neither establishes what the kiss meant or what the Biebers’ private relationship is like.

The available entertainment-news accounts describe a cheek kiss, attributed social-media responses, and comments comparing Bieber’s expression. They do not establish an affair, marital trouble, or Bieber’s feelings. The original video and posts were not independently verified here, and no named-person interview or official statement explaining the gesture was identified. The responsible takeaway is limited: the clip prompted speculation, but speculation is not confirmation.
