The original Jurassic Park was filmed on Kauaʻi and Oʻahu, but the visitor access is not the same at every location. The clearest options supported by official visitor information are guided film-location tours at Kualoa Ranch on Oʻahu and an air tour to Manawaiopuna Falls on Kauaʻi. There is not enough verified information to responsibly identify 16 visitable locations, so this guide focuses on those confirmed options rather than padding the list.
Where was the original Jurassic Park filmed?
The Hawaiʻi Film Office says the original film was shot on Kauaʻi and Oʻahu in 1992. That island-level confirmation does not mean every recognizable landscape is a public stop, a surviving set, or independently accessible. For a visitor, the key distinction is whether a location is reached on an organized ranch tour or viewed from the air.
Oʻahu: Kualoa Ranch and Kaʻaʻawa Valley
Kualoa Ranch is a private ranch and nature reserve associated with Jurassic Park and Jurassic World. It offers two distinct guided experiences relevant to film fans; they differ in length and terrain, so choose based on the kind of outing you want rather than assuming they cover identical stops.
Movie Sites & Ranch Tour
The guided Movie Sites & Ranch Tour visits film and television locations in Kaʻaʻawa Valley and is listed as 1.5 hours. It is the more direct choice for visitors seeking a film-location tour. The operator’s listing does not establish that every recognizable movie shot or original set remains in place.

Jurassic Adventure Tour
The separate Jurassic Adventure Tour lasts 2.5 hours and is described by Kualoa as a bumpy rainforest trek through locations from the original Jurassic Park and later Jurassic World films. The rough terrain is an important practical distinction; check the operator’s current tour details for suitability, access needs, departure times, and availability before booking.
Weather and booking
Kualoa says its Movie Sites & Ranch Tour operates rain or shine and recommends bringing “a light rain jacket or poncho.” Confirm current prices, reservations, and tour conditions directly with the operator, since they can change.

Kauaʻi: Manawaiopuna Falls
Go Hawaiʻi identifies Manawaiopuna Falls as a Jurassic Park location and says it can be seen by air tour only. Treat that limitation as central to planning: the cited visitor information does not establish ground access. It also does not name a specific air-tour operator or confirm current routes and departures, so check with an operator directly for the itinerary, schedule, and booking terms.
Which visit should you choose?

Why this guide does not list 16 locations
Official information confirms the two islands and supports these visitor-facing options, but it does not establish a reliable 16-place inventory with location-by-location evidence and access details. A long list would risk presenting scenery associated with the franchise as a confirmed filming location or implying that a private, remote, or movie-only site can be visited. Check state tourism information and the relevant operator’s current pages before making plans.
