Julia Lemigova and Martina Navratilova adopted two boys, with the news reported on August 14, 2024. The announcement coverage did not disclose the boys’ names or ages, and the couple asked for privacy as they welcomed them.
What is known about the adoption
Bravo reported that the couple had adopted two young boys. Navratilova described them as “over the moon,” while acknowledging the challenges and rewards of the change. Bravo’s August 14, 2024 report did not identify the children or give their ages. Tennis.com’s announcement coverage likewise relayed the couple’s request for privacy.
How the adoption plans developed
Lemigova had discussed adoption on The Real Housewives of Miami. The couple later paused their plans while Navratilova focused on treatment for throat and breast cancer. Lemigova subsequently said they were not closing the door on adoption. During the show’s Season 5 reunion, as quoted by Bravo, she said: “When you’re adopting a child, it has to be about the child.”
How their daughters responded
A Bravo follow-up published August 20, 2025, reported that Lemigova and Navratilova’s daughters, Victoria and Emma, were initially surprised and upset about the adoption. Lemigova later said they had come around to having new siblings. Bravo’s follow-up describes the family’s reported adjustment; it does not establish the boys’ private histories.

Why details about the boys remain private
In a July 31, 2025 interview, Lemigova said she respected the boys’ privacy and discussed helping them feel secure as they adjusted to their new home. “Obviously, I cannot say a lot because I respect my kids’ privacy,” she told Us Weekly. The public coverage does not establish the boys’ names, ages, or personal backgrounds, so those details should not be inferred.
