Spoilers ahead. This is an archival look at Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 257, officially listed by VIZ with a publication date of April 28, 2024. Pre-release leak coverage appeared earlier, including reports dated April 18; those reports are not the official chapter or its translation.
What Chapter 257 leak reports said
ComingSoon’s April 18, 2024 spoiler report described the chapter as continuing Yuji Itadori and Ryomen Sukuna’s fight. It said Yuji endured Sukuna’s slashes and landed another Black Flash. The Escapist’s leak-era recap also emphasized a climactic Black Flash. These are summaries of material circulating before publication, not a substitute for the released chapter’s wording or a definitive account of every scene.

The broad takeaway from those reports is that Yuji keeps pressing his attack against Sukuna, with Black Flash central to the chapter’s action. The leak coverage does not by itself establish that Yuji has definitively surpassed Sukuna; that stronger conclusion should not be treated as a confirmed chapter fact.
When the leaks appeared and when the chapter was listed
ComingSoon’s report and a pre-release discussion on r/Jujutsushi are dated April 18, 2024. VIZ’s Shonen Jump listing shows April 28, 2024, as the date for Chapter 257. These are the dates shown by those sources; they describe different stages, and the VIZ listing date should not be assumed to apply identically in every region.
