What happens in Chapter 249?
The chapter reference identifies Chapter 249 as “Inhuman Makyo, Shinjuku Showdown, Part 21.” Its broad summary moves from Yuta’s reflection on Higuruma and the failed plan to the continuing confrontation with Sukuna. Yuta faces Sukuna alongside Yuji Itadori and Rika.
This is a high-level spoiler overview, not a panel-by-panel account. The available summary supports the character context and fight setup, but not a more detailed reconstruction of the chapter’s exact sequence.

Does Chapter 249 newly confirm Higuruma’s death?
The careful distinction is between a death being part of the story context and the chapter showing that death occur. The Chapter 249 summary presents Higuruma’s death as something Yuta is already grieving and blaming himself for. On that evidence, the chapter’s significance is Yuta’s response to the loss and the failed plan—not a newly reported death scene or a separate death confirmation.
