Jimmy Kimmel is a grandfather: his daughter Katie and her husband, Will Logsdon, welcomed a baby girl on the night of May 19, 2025. Kimmel announced the birth on Jimmy Kimmel Live! the following night and shared the baby’s name: Patti Joan.

Katie and Will welcomed their first baby together on the night of May 19, 2025, according to Kimmel’s on-air account. Kimmel missed that evening’s show to be with his family and announced the birth when he returned on May 20. ABC News reported his announcement.
“You know, we were supposed to have a show last night, but we didn’t, because my daughter had a baby last night,” Kimmel said on the broadcast, referring to Katie.

The baby’s name is Patti Joan. Kimmel joked about other possible names during the segment, but those were jokes; Patti Joan is the name reported by ABC News and People.
