Celebrity Net Worth estimates Jerry Stiller’s net worth at $14 million when he died. That is a third-party estimate, not a verified estate value: the public records cited here do not independently confirm the amount or show how it was calculated.
How much was Jerry Stiller worth?
The commonly published figure is $14 million, attributed to Celebrity Net Worth. Its page describes Stiller’s net worth at the time of his death, but no primary financial records, estate filings, or disclosed calculation method reviewed for this article substantiate the figure. It should be read as an estimate, not an audited total or an official accounting of his estate.

Stiller and Meara
Stiller and Meara built a public comedy career together as a team. Penguin Random House’s biography says Stiller began his career with the improvisational group The Compass, lists stage credits including Hurlyburly and The Ritz, and notes that he appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show more than 35 times (Penguin Random House).
For a fuller account of their partnership and his career, Simon & Schuster lists Stiller’s memoir, Married to Laughter: A Love Story Featuring Anne Meara, first published September 5, 2001. The publisher describes it as a 336-page paperback about his entertainment career and personal and professional life with Meara. The memoir is a career and relationship account, not evidence verifying the $14 million estimate (Simon & Schuster).

Seinfeld and The King of Queens
Stiller became widely known to television audiences as Frank Costanza on Seinfeld and Arthur Spooner on The King of Queens. The Television Academy records one Primetime Emmy nomination: Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series in 1997 for Seinfeld. It also states that he appeared in all 206 episodes of The King of Queens. Those credits document the scale and visibility of his work; they do not establish his personal fortune.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why the estimate cannot be verified from his credits
A long, successful career can provide context for why a net-worth estimate attracts interest, but roles, episode counts, and award nominations do not reveal what a performer personally earned or retained. A defensible estate valuation would require evidence about income as well as taxes, expenses, investments, debts, property, and other assets. The public career records and publisher biographies cited here do not provide that accounting.

The Television Academy also preserves an interview with Stiller, conducted December 12, 2005, in which he discusses Frank Costanza, Arthur Spooner, his acting career, and his comedy partnership with Meara (Television Academy Interviews). It offers first-person career context, not financial disclosure.
