Entertainment Tonight reported a June 19 sighting; E! News later described a boat trip photographed June 20. The coverage documents separate moments, not one confirmed scene, and does not explain Affleck’s absence.
What the June 2024 reports show
Entertainment Tonight’s June 19 account
Entertainment Tonight reported that Lopez was seen in Positano on Wednesday, June 19, at a hotel and later on a boat with friends. The outlet said the photos and video were obtained by TMZ. Entertainment Tonight’s June 19 report described the sighting amid speculation about the couple.
E! News’s June 20 boat-trip photos
E! News published a gallery on June 22 describing a boat trip photographed June 20. Its captions say Lopez was with friends, took selfies and socialized. The captions describe her wearing a white one-piece swimsuit with gold jewelry and heels; the gallery is credited to COBRA TEAM / BACKGRID. Affleck was not pictured with her in the vacation coverage. View E! News’s photo gallery.
What the photos can—and cannot—establish
The reports document Lopez’s reported appearances and who was not shown alongside her in those images. They do not establish why Affleck was absent, whether he was elsewhere during the trip, or what the couple’s relationship was at that moment. A travel sighting is not evidence of motive or a reliable measure of relationship status.

How the 2024 relationship context was reported
Entertainment Tonight’s June 19 article placed the sighting amid then-current divorce speculation and attributed relationship assessments in part to unnamed sources. One source quoted by ET said the pair had been “living separate lives” but had “not officially separated yet.” That was an anonymous-source account published in June 2024, not a direct statement from Lopez or Affleck and not evidence of their present-day status.
ET also reported that Lopez posted a photo of Affleck to her Instagram Story for Father’s Day with the caption, “Our Hero. Happy Father’s Day.” The message was a Father’s Day post, not a comment on the Italy vacation.

Do not confuse the Positano vacation with Lopez’s 2026 trip
Lopez’s later Italy coverage concerned a separate family road trip with her children. Harper’s BAZAAR reported on August 4, 2026, that she shared stops including Venice and Rome, along with the caption, “Road tripping with my coconuts before they head off to college.” That trip does not update the details of the June 2024 Positano outing or establish anything about her relationship with Affleck.
