Jenna Jameson filed for divorce from Jessi Lawless in Clark County, Nevada, on February 27, 2025, according to TMZ. The marriage had begun on June 9, 2023, a date given in Lawless’s 2024 annulment filing. A later TMZ report says a judge entered an annulment decree on April 14, 2025, restoring both women to unmarried status.
When did Jenna Jameson file for divorce?
TMZ reported on February 28, 2025, that Jameson had filed the previous day in Clark County, Nevada. The complaint reportedly gave no reason for the divorce and said the women had been living separately since April 2024. TMZ’s report on the filing also said Jameson asked to retain personal property, including handbags, jewelry, clothing, and a painting. It reported that the filing indicated neither woman was pregnant.

What happened before Jameson’s filing?
Lawless sought an annulment in 2024
Lawless announced their separation in an Instagram video and sought an annulment in April 2024, according to Entertainment Tonight. Her filing gave June 9, 2023, as the wedding date; ET also reported that a representative for Jameson confirmed the marriage that month.
Lawless’s filing alleged that Jameson had not disclosed more than $500,000 in tax debt and had not kept a promise to remain sober. These were allegations in Lawless’s filing, not findings established by the reports. Jameson told ET, “I wish Jessi all the best.” She also said she hoped people struggling with addiction or trying to stay sober could access “an empathic and loving support system.”

The first annulment action was reportedly dismissed
TMZ reported in February 2025 that Lawless’s earlier annulment action had been dismissed in December 2024 after she did not move it forward. That report set out the status known when Jameson filed for divorce; it was not the end of the legal story.

In an August 2026 follow-up, TMZ reported that a judge entered an annulment decree on April 14, 2025, in a later annulment petition by Lawless. According to TMZ’s later report, the decree restored both women to unmarried status. TMZ also said Jameson did not respond in that proceeding and that her own divorce case appeared to go nowhere.

This later outcome is based on TMZ’s account of documents it obtained; the court docket was not independently reviewed for this article. The February 2025 divorce filing should therefore be understood as a reported filing, not the final change in the couple’s marital status.
