PerthNow reported the announcement on 27 February 2021. Durie’s Instagram caption, reproduced by the outlet, read: “She said YES! Thrilled to announce our engagement.” Jane’s post, also quoted in the report, said: “That’s a BIG YES!” PerthNow’s 27 February 2021 report documents the public announcement; the date of the post is not the date of the proposal.
How did Jamie Durie propose?
In an account reported by 7NEWS on 22 March 2021, Durie said he proposed on Valentine’s Day. He told Jane that a friend and his partner wanted to go on a double date, then took her to a waterside setting. The reported floral display spelled out “marry me” in roses and Australian native flowers. 7NEWS’s interview report attributes these details to Durie’s account on The Morning Show.
What was on Ameka Jane’s engagement ring?
The ring was described as custom-made with Instinct Jewellers, featuring Argyle champagne diamonds and green asscher-cut sapphires. 7NEWS reported that Durie connected the choices to his upbringing in northwestern Australia and Jane’s green eyes. The report describes a bespoke design, not a standard retail model or an indication that the same stones or design are currently available.

What is known about their relationship status?
The engagement announcement and proposal details are reported as events from 2021. A 21 October 2024 Now To Love profile referred to Jane as Durie’s fiancée. The sources cited here do not establish whether they later married, so that dated description should not be treated as confirmation of their status today.
