Across the 25 EON-produced James Bond films released from Dr. No (1962) to No Time to Die (2021), the six principal 007 actors ranged from George Lazenby at 30 to Roger Moore at 57. The ages below are each actor’s age reached during the film’s release year—not necessarily their age on the exact premiere date.

Every principal 007 actor’s age in each EON Bond film

This film-by-film list uses release-year age: release year minus birth year, adjusted where needed for whether the actor’s birthday fell before or after that year’s release. A premiere-date calculation can differ by one year. Film titles and release years follow the franchise film lists and histories from About Amazon UK and JamesBond.de; the official 007 First And Last history documents the actors’ tenures.

How the actors’ Bond ages compare

Youngest debuts and oldest final outings

George Lazenby was 30 in the release year of his only EON Bond film, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. Sean Connery was 32 for Dr. No, his first EON appearance. Roger Moore’s final Bond film, A View to a Kill, was released in 1985, the year he turned 57—the oldest age in the table.

Non-consecutive and longer runs

Connery’s EON appearances were not consecutive: after his first five films, George Lazenby played Bond once, then Connery returned for Diamonds Are Forever. Moore appeared in seven EON films, the most of the six actors. Timothy Dalton made two, Pierce Brosnan four, and Daniel Craig’s five-film run ended with No Time to Die in 2021.

What is included—and what is not

The table covers the six principal actors in EON’s 25-film series, from Dr. No through No Time to Die. It excludes two separate productions: the 1967 Casino Royale, starring David Niven, and Never Say Never Again (1983), in which Connery also played Bond. Connery was 52 in the release year of Never Say Never Again; that film is not an EON production, so it is not part of the main comparison.

Lazenby is sometimes listed as 29 for On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. He was born in September 1939, and the film opened in December 1969, making him 30 at release. The apparent discrepancy comes from using a different age reference or an error; this table consistently gives release-year age.
