Isabel Lucas announced on Instagram on 6 October 2025 that she was expecting her first child with partner Cyrus Sutton. She was reported to be 40 at the time. The story was later updated: December reports said the couple had welcomed a son.
What did Isabel Lucas announce?
Lucas shared the pregnancy news in an Instagram post featuring photographs of herself and Sutton. PerthNow reproduced her caption: “Sometimes words flow and sometimes the mystery is too vast and all that remains, is to feel.” She also wrote: “A new forever exists here. Among petals of silent wonder and pure love. Together we hold this miracle with tender heartful hands.” PerthNow reported on the announcement.
The announcement coverage did not state how far along Lucas was or give a due date, so neither can be established from the public details cited here.
Who is Cyrus Sutton?
Sutton is Lucas’s partner and is described as an American professional surfer and filmmaker. The announcement coverage does not establish a wedding, engagement or when their relationship began. The New Zealand Herald describes Sutton and Lucas’s television role.

What is the later update on the baby?
Reports published on 23 December 2025 said Lucas and Sutton had welcomed a son. Evoke quoted Sutton saying: “Isabel and I welcomed a new life into the world a couple weeks ago in Byron Bay, Australia.” The timing and location are Sutton’s account as quoted by the outlet, rather than an independently specified birth date. Yahoo Lifestyle Australia reported the birth update; Evoke published Sutton’s quoted account.
