No—not according to creator Joe Brumm. He said he is stepping back from the television series to focus on the Bluey movie, but explicitly clarified that his statement was not an announcement that the show is ending. The available official announcements do not confirm a fourth TV season either, so the series’ future remains unannounced in those sources.
What Joe Brumm said about Bluey’s future
In a letter published on the official Bluey website, Brumm said he could not currently write a potential fourth season to the standard he wanted. He is taking a break from involvement in the television series while focusing on the feature film.
Brumm described The Sign as his possible TV finale conditionally: “In the event I can’t wrap my head around doing more seasons myself, The Sign will mark my TV finale for Bluey and I wrote it as such.” He then made the key distinction explicit: “To be clear, this is not an announcement about the end of the show, but it is an acknowledgment that my focus will be on the film.”
That is a statement about Brumm’s own creative involvement and priorities—not a cancellation notice from the companies behind the series. It also does not promise that another season will be made.

Is Bluey season 4 confirmed?
No fourth television season is confirmed in the official announcements cited here. Brumm’s letter discusses his ability and willingness to write more seasons himself; it does not announce a renewal or say that another creator will take over. The letter and the BBC Studios movie announcement do not settle whether the TV series will continue.
The careful answer is therefore neither “season 4 is definitely happening” nor “Bluey has been cancelled.” These sources establish no new season announcement, not a definitive decision about the show’s entire future.

What is confirmed: a Bluey movie in 2027
BBC Studios announced that a feature-length Bluey film is scheduled to reach cinemas on August 6, 2027. The announcement names Joe Brumm as writer and director, Ludo Studio as producer in collaboration with BBC Studios, and Walt Disney Studios as theatrical distributor. The date is a scheduled release, not evidence that the television series has been renewed.
Bluey is produced by Ludo Studio for ABC KIDS in Australia and co-commissioned by ABC Children’s and BBC Studios Kids & Family. BBC Studios says the series airs and streams on Disney platforms in the United States and many other territories, with geographic exceptions; availability depends on location.

Do the LEGO Bluey shorts mean the show is returning?
No. BBC Studios and LEGO announced LEGO Bluey Shorts, a collection of ten two-minute shorts featuring familiar scenes. The announced release channels include the Bluey and LEGO YouTube channels and Bluey.tv. This is official franchise activity, but it is a short-form project—not confirmation of a fourth season of the television series.

A reliable answer about the TV series would require a specific announcement of a new season or cancellation from an official Bluey, Ludo Studio, ABC or BBC Studios channel. Until then, keep the separate facts separate: Brumm is focusing on the movie, the movie has a scheduled cinema date, and these official announcements do not confirm another TV season.
